Sacred Heart Convent School celebrated the Arts Day with great pomp and show on 14th December, 2019, Rev.Fr. Varghese CST was the chief gust. Assistant manager Rev.Fr. Mobin CST and Principal Rev. Sr. Noel heartily welcomed the chief guest. A variety of programs were conducted on this day. Inaugurating the gala event, chief guest gave the message about the role of arts day in the life. He stressed on the importance curricular activities in shaping the attitude of life. The stage came alive with prayer dance and welcome song. Students showed their talents in various fields such as solo song, solo dance, group dance, group song,elocution, poem Recitation, Skit, Giddha and Bhangra. Other excited events were fancy dress and Rangoli made by the students. The creativity of the students was scattered all around like the sparking stars in the sky. Students embraced the opportunities to compete in their talents came to an end with the distribution of trophies and certificates to the winners.
First Indian Toju-Ryo Sports Karate National Tournament Championship was held at Gidderbaha from 22nd October 2019 to 24 Th October 2019. Nine states took part in this championship and Sacred Heart Convent School, Jalalabad (W) awarded the first position. Forty five students took part in this competition. They were awarded with 8 gold, 14 silver and 10 bronze medals. Manager Rev.Fr. Shijo CST, Assistant Manager Rev.Fr. Mobin CST , and principal Rev. Sr. Noel warmly welcomed the participants and congratulated the coach Mr. Rajendra Singh. Management and staff congratulated the participants and gave the message regarding the importance of games. They said that the games help in the all around development of children and they are always ready to support the children for their bright future. They consider this success as the success of parents, school and the society.
Skating competition, (category-14 years and 17 years) was held in September, 2019 by the council of national sports and games at Saint Francis School in Amritsar. 6 students of Sacred Heart Convent School participated in this competition. Vansh Doomra secured 2nd position (17 years), Lileen got 2 nd position in 2000 (14 years), Anirudh got 2nd position; Akanksh got 2nd position in 7000 m road race. The school gave a wonderful welcome to these children. Students were honored by Rev.Fr. Shijo, Assistant Manager Rev.Fr. Mobin CST, and Principal Rev. Sr. Noel, they congratulated them on their brilliant success and appreciate the teachers for their efforts. Management and the staff encouraged the students for their colourful achievements.
