ABOUT US


Sacred Heart Convent School is a venture from 1995 on the focus of imparting knowledge to the students and thus forming a nation as such. It produced the creamy layer of society in and around Jalalabad west. An educational institution is known by the faculties it appoints. An able faculty plays a decisive role in a child's education and works like a guiding force. We, at Sacred Heart Family, take utmost care in appointing teachers and choose the best of talents available across the country. The faculties at Sacred Heart are not just academically qualified but also well-versed in working as the life coach of students empowering them with essential character building attributes. Special training programmes are organized to update their skills so that they can keep pace with rapidly changing needs of the contemporary educational system.

We ensure pro-active involvement of our teachers in all the school activities like House Wardens, Class Reps, the Environment Council, Editorial Board, Cultural Department or Sports, to name a few. At Sacred Heart, we are committed to provide excellent student teacher ratios to maximize student potential with a firm belief that an educational institution is as good as its faculty.


HISTORY OF SHCS


Sacred Heart Convent School had its beginning in 1994 on the mission of imparting knowledge to the students and thus forming a nation as such. It produced the creamy layer of society in and around Jalalabad west. The location chosen for the Sacred Heart Convent School transformed the face of Jalalabad by creating adequate opportunities for the people to undoubtedly sent their budding flowers to the world of knowledge. It was the sweat and blood of the pioneering missionaries of our society which marked the milestone of Sacred Heart Convent School. And now it nurtures 2196 students with a full-fledged system of education.


PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT


The strength of our school community relies heavily on the support and involvement of all of the families that the school serves. Our parents are strongly encouraged to be actively involved in one or more of the many Parent Involvement Programs here at Little Flower. Ample opportunity is provided for parents to assist both during the school day and in events and activities that take place after school hours. Every child in the school benefits from the commitment, interest and assistance given by involved mothers and fathers.

All parents and adults working with the school community must complete the Child Protection training sponsored by the Archdiocese of Washington. Information is available from the school office.

As a educational institution, the school regards education as an integral formation of the human person for the fulfillment of her / his individual and social responsibilities. Hence special efforts are being made to help the students.

Principal's Message


Dear Parents, Teachers and Students,
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it (HOLY BIBLE Proverb:22-6) As I write from my desk, I am rethinking of the role we are playing as teachers, my thoughts remind me that our duty is not merely to impart knowledge to make a child fit to procure degrees and diplomas to earn a livelihood but it is also to train up a child in the way he should go. Thus our role has to be a balanced combination of imparting knowledge, wisdom and moral values.
It is a matter of great pride that parents are entrusting their child in our hands, we look upon them as clay which has to be moulded in to good shape. And I honestly admit that I find this responsibility to be extremely challenging. May our good lord guide and bless each nurturer of our school to render quality schooling and enable the students to shine as a torch of truth, knowledge, peace and inspirations for others. May our students give a testimony that their teachers have played a major role in making their lives.
The HOLY BIBLE says " Seek and you will find". (Mathew :Chapter 7, Verse 8). Therefore, all those who sought with sincere heart and desire found St. Mary's School fulfilling their aspirations and they are now occupying and enjoying very high positions in the society. Besides the academic excellence, our school has been alert to inculcate in our students discipline, moral values, character building and personality development. I also appreciate the staff teaching and non teaching for their effort to provide quality education to our students. Dear Parents, Teachers and Students,
"Every individual is a unique creation. God has shaped man in a special way and bestowed upon him many blessings according to the purpose and plan for his life. So, men differ in many ways; in size, complexion, talents, abilities, skills, character and so on, each designed to establish the plans of the Almighty progressively fulfilling the God-ordained purpose of his life. The rich deposits God has placed in every student need to be discovered, revealed and multiplied; and education serves best, to fulfil this purpose. It is the apt tool in successfully bringing to light the treasure that lies dormant within the student. Here at Sacred Heart Convent School, education is imparted with a strong focus on this concept. Activities pertaining to Language, Math, Science and other subjects that enhance knowledge, provide hands-on experience and provide opportunities for growth are carefully studied and introduced. It helps the students to bring out the best in them thereby identifying their areas of strength and God-given talents. The students acquire a clear understanding of what they are and what they could become. In short, education at Sacred Heart Convent School is designed to Identify latent potential, sharpen focus and build a vision to fulfil the mission of the student's life, with true happiness and satisfaction, making them a boon to society.
